We’ve teamed up with the good folks @thechangeup for a 30 day photo challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles //



The challenge: capture beauty in the streets - juxtaposed within the harsh realities of homelessness // Times are hard and the streets can be rough - but as we IGers can attest - beauty is found everywhere, possessed by everyone. Tutorial Tuesday!

Today we’re using Pixlr-o-matic (free)  and Instagram (free)

Lets get started!

1. Open up Pixlr-o-matic then take a photo/ or choose one from your library.

2. Here we chose the filter “Austin”

3. Then click the light bulb at the bottom and choose “Beep” (light art effect). Save.

4. Open instagram, and upload recent edited image. Here we chose Amaro filter.

5. Click upload and save!

It’s MONDAY! New tutorial ! Super simple !

Here we’re using India3000 (.99)  and Instagram (free)

1. Open Instagram, Snap a photo or Upload image. 

2. Choose Nashville filter,and Save .

3. Open India 3000, upload previous edited photo from camera roll. Choose Flanders300 to layer over edited photo, and save.  

4. Upload to instagram and Voila!

I really enjoy using flanders300 because of the fun edgy shapes, and that pop of color!

2. Choose Infatuation ( I like the crinkled photo texture)

3.  Save/upload to camera roll

4. Open Instagram, upload previous edited photo. Choose 1977 to layer over edited photo to give it that vintage feel.

5. Upload and Voila!
